The key advancement in the new mounts is the Qi2 wireless charging capability.

Peak Design, an innovator in carry solutions and mobile accessories, has introduced next-generation motorcycle mounts featuring fast Qi2 wireless charging, rapid phone attachment, and advanced vibration protection. Launched through Peak Design’s 12th Kickstarter campaign, these mounts are designed for motorcycles, ATVs, and scooters, providing a convenient system for mounting, accessing, and charging mobile phones.

The key advancement in the new mounts is the Qi2 wireless charging capability. This new global standard offers twice the peak charging speed, ensuring phones remain charged even during power-intensive activities like navigation.

The updated Moto Mount suite includes two new mounts, the Brake/Clutch Mount and Mirror Mount, expanding compatibility with various bikes and scooters. The existing range, including the V2 Bar Mount, has received functional and aesthetic updates. All mounts feature SlimLink technology for easy, one-handed phone attachment and removal, as well as a vibration damping system that protects phones from engine vibrations.

Peter Dering, Founder and CEO of Peak Design, highlighted the company’s commitment to solving problems experienced by riders: “Traditional moto phone mounts are bulky, difficult to use, and unattractive. We created a line of mounts that are gorgeous, fast-charging, and products you’d actually be excited to attach to your bike.”

From July 9 to August 12, 2024, the new Moto Mounts are available for preorder on Kickstarter with discounts of up to 34% off the MSRP, which ranges from $49.95 to $169.95. Products are expected to ship to Kickstarter backers and be available on peakdesign.com, Amazon, and motorcycle accessory retailers worldwide in December. Preorder customers will also receive a free three-month membership to REVER Pro, an app for motorcycle route-mapping and tracking.

Although I have an older non charging mount, to me, Peak Design has the absolute best mount by a wide margin. A large part of it has to do with the quality of the cases.
