Adventure-ready variant priced at $19,995
Ducati announced a new DesertX variant that comes standard with a number of accessories to make it more adventure-ready. With an MSRP of $19,995, the 2025 Ducati DesertX Discovery offers a middle-ground between the $17,995 baseline DesertX and the more hardcore $22,995 DesertX Rally.
The DesertX Discovery comes standard with reinforced handguards, engine guards, a radiator grill, water pump protection, and a beefier bash plate than the standard DesertX. A taller windshield and heated grips provide increased comfort in cooler environments, while the center stand helps make maintaining the drive chain and rear wheel a little easier.
A lot of the supplied photography shows the DesertX Discovery with aluminum luggage, but they do not come standard.
Other features separating the Discovery from the regular DesertX include the Ducati Multimedia System, turn-by-turn navigation through the Ducati Link App and the Thrilling Black/Ducati Red livery.
Beyond these differences, the Discovery is similar to the standard DesertX, which returns unchanged for 2025, sharing the same 937cc V-Twin engine, electronics package, suspension and 5.54-gallon fuel tank.

I have to agree
I hope buyers are aware that when owning a modern Ducati, the maintenance warning has to be reset by the dealer costing $$ every time, for something the user should be able to reset with the push of a button. Not only mileage based, but now annually too! A rip-off and a scam.
Frustrated Desert-X owner.
