Schott NYC has announced an exclusive leather jacket to celebrate the release of The Bikeriders, hitting theaters tomorrow, Friday, June 21st. The jacket was designed in collaboration with the film's costume designer, Erin Benach, who used various modern and vintage Schott NYC jackets for the film's characters.

The new jacket follows the pattern of the vintage style worn by the Vandals motorcycle club leader Johnny in the movie. It features 1950s-style Conmar chain pull zippers and is crafted from soft yet heavyweight pebbled cowhide. Staying true to the film's period, the jacket has a 24-inch cropped length, an iridescent burgundy lining, and a distinctive D-pocket configuration reminiscent of the first Perfecto® motorcycle jacket designed by Irving Schott in 1928. Unique elements include a hidden belt channel, side pleats, and a western-inspired “V” top yoke on the back.

“From the moment I started researching for the film, Schott was front and center. It's exciting when an American brand that has been around since the teens is still in existence and even more exciting when the quality is still there. Motorcycle enthusiasts know their history - they know the brands that were legitimate and they know when you’ve done it right.” - Erin Benach, Costume Designer for The Bikeriders.

“Four generations of my family have been making motorcycle jackets by hand in the USA since the 1920s. We’ve been in some of the most iconic American biker films and are honored to be featured in The Bikeriders. Using inspiration from our archives and our turn of the century machines, we created a timeless classic that feels true to the period of the 1960s but yet modern to be worn today.” - Jason Schott, Chief Operating Officer and 4th generation family member.

Written and directed by Jeff Nichols, The Bikeriders explores a tumultuous period in American history when the culture and people were undergoing significant change. The film follows strong-willed Kathy, portrayed by Jodie Comer, who becomes captivated by Benny, played by Austin Butler, after a chance encounter at a local bar. Benny is the newest member of the Vandals, a Midwestern motorcycle club led by the enigmatic Johnny, portrayed by Tom Hardy. As the club evolves from a refuge for local outsiders into a violent underworld, Benny finds himself torn between his loyalty to Kathy and his allegiance to the club.
