6D Helmets Introduces the Improved ATR-3 Off-Road Motorcycle Helmet

The ATR-3’s Rebuildable ODS system is now in its fifth iteration, as 6D continues to focus on rider safety. This version includes an Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) multi-impact outer liner and a replaceable Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) inner liner, connected by elastomeric isolation dampers. The company claims this system is more efficient in mitigating impacts from both linear and angular accelerations than previous models.

The helmet features a new 3K Carbon Composite shell, which maintains durability and provides a carbon fiber finish. The ATR-3 also offers improved ventilation with large intake vents and direct channels for enhanced airflow. Additionally, the helmet's new shell composition and streamlined ODS system contribute to a 100-gram weight reduction, resulting in a lower center of gravity.

The ATR-3 incorporates several updates for better helmet performance, including an Eject-compatible design, a magnetic chinstrap clasp, a removable roost guard, a mud visor extension, integrated speaker pockets, custom-designed titanium D-rings, and compatibility with drink tubes. It retains essential safety features from the ATR-2, such as the EPP Chinbar, clavicle cutaway, cervical spine relief, sternum pad, shear-away visor screws, and emergency removable cheek pads.

Available in three shell sizes, from XS to XXL, the ATR-3 comes with a three-year limited warranty and is priced starting at $759.95.
