Lobe my c50
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 25, 2022I love this bike and I believe the specs are wrong saying top speed is in the 90s mph. The speddo goes to 110 and I have passed that and was still climbing. Very powerful bike I ride with my uncles 1 has a 1200 CC and the other a 1500 CC and I keep up no problem in fact sometimes I piss them off ...

After three years
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 17, 2013I picked up my C50 during the 2010 sell-off of 2009 models for around $5800. What a bargain, and I love it. I took it from PA to CA two years ago, and it did fine, highways and back roads. I am 5'4", but I had no problem in cities, at stops, and backing up. First time in 45 years of motorcycling ... that this was the case. The bike is slightly underpowered, and gets only about 44 mpg, but it is built like a rock and takes a beating without complaint.

Great choice for a first motorcycle.
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 16, 2013I started riding at 49 and was in the market for a cruiser that was in my budget. I found a 2 year old C50 with 600 miles on it that was priced well below NADA so I took a chance. Though I initially didn't know what features I should be looking for in a cruiser I was lucky and pleased in the choice ... I made. I have been very pleased with every aspect of the bike to include handling, braking, and style.
The front in power is good but fades after hitting 5th gear by 40 MPH and forget about passing someone; however, the motorcycle cruises along well at 70+ MPH. I recently replaced the tires and have had to be careful about locking it up if braking at moderate speeds; otherwise no breaking problems.
The C50 handles very well with tight maneuvering with S curves, circles and the box; I recently made several trips over US421 (Tennesse-North Carolina mountain road nick named "the snake") and it handled very well with S curves, turn backs, turnbacks with 40+ degree sharp inclines and was very pleased with the maneuvering as I was scraping my floorboards numerous times; the power on this stretch of road was a bit lacking but this was a demand route that most other bikes may struggle as well.
I have made many modifications to include adding a light bar with aux lights, windshield with lowers, mustang solo seat with backrest and rear fender bib, Viking saddlebags with easy brackets; all modifications were easy to make and were performed at home.
I have had the motorcycle for less than 2 years and have rolled up 12,000 miles with absolutely no mechanical problems and have never worried about venturing off into the unknown. The motorcycle averages 45 MPG.
In summary, I have been very pleased with the C50 and would strongly encourage other prospective riders to consider this motorcycle.

Used with little miles
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 15, 2012I purchased a 2009 C50 a couple of weeks ago with only 10,750 miles. I got a great price, since I bought it at a Harley shop. I bought this on a recommedation of my friend that has a 2006 C50T with 50,000 miles on it.

Great Bike - Great Value
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 19, 2012This is a great bike! I live in Colorado and it has plenty of power for the mountains and still maintains good gas mileage. Me and my girlfriend ride every chance we get. It has a great classic look and rides very smooth and handles exceptionally. The only downfall is the placement of the passengers ... foot pegs. For the money, you definately cant go wrong with a Boulevard!

Love this bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 03, 2011I've been riding bikes for nearly 40 years now and I have never ridden a bike as sweet as the C50. I'm a very small person and was afraid that I may not be able to handle her, but I can with ease! The way they designed this bike makes it easy for all types of people, men and women alike to ride ... 'er with no fear! One of the best bikes on the market!

Thanks for the honest reviews folks...
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 19, 2011After reading the positive reviews and comparing the C50 with the Yamaha, Hondas, and Kawas, I went with the 2009 C50. In the end the price and financing from Suzuki as well as the standard features sold me. It was between the 2010 Yamaha 950 and C50, but the C50 had standard features, like fuel ... guage/clock, and heal/toe shifter and the fender shapes over the Yamaha. Plus the handle bars felt more natural than the Yamaha's. I picked up a '09 model still left on floor in late may '11 and have put 800 miles on it within 3.5 weeks. It does well for power in the 6200' elevation as well as Mtn pass at 10,000+(considering my 6'1' 250 lbs frame) Holds the road well in high cross winds, as well as oncomming passing semi's. Has slight vibration in the floor boards, which seems to be less at higher speeds. I have been able to keep up with my buddy's HD 1300 glide on the highway, without much effort...just not on the range with the smaller fuel tank. I DO NOT recommend buying any handlebar mounted windshield, due to mirror vibration (I sent it back). The seat could be more comfortable and am looking for additional padding to assist in comfort for the longer rides. Definetly a good buy for a starter bike, which this was for me. Already accessorizing with saddle bags, and have a wish list started on Dennis Kirk...Lots of after market stuff for the C50.
I don't regret "My mid-life crisis" purchase...despite the teasing I get from my HD owner buddy for buying a "Jap" bike.

Nice Cruiser
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Apr 21, 2011Test rode one today. Also rode Yamaha Star Siverado and Kawasaki Vulcan 900. Kawasaki and Boulevard were close but I think I may buy the Suzuki, as it was more comfortable.

A little apprehension right now!
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 22, 2011I just purchased a new 09 C50. It is just what I wanted and was a great deal. I only have 75 miles on it. I was out on a ride and noticed the neutral light blinking, thought it was odd since I was in 5th gear. Then I noticed the "F1" light was also on indicating an issue with the fuel injection ... system. I was 10 miles from home, bike was running good so I continued home. I turned the bike off and on again and the "F1" light was not on. I called the dealer, they said they could not get a code to find out what the problem was if the light was not on, suggested I wait and see if it happens again. I hope this will not be a nagging problem that is difficult to resolve, I'm leery to ride too far from home now! Other than that, it has excellent ride and handling with plenty of power for me.

Very satisfied
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 20, 2011My 2009 C50 SE is a great value bike. After 6 months I am very satisfied with this medium/small cruiser. I bought it at a deep discount at the end of '09. It's an addition to my 08 Vstrom...which I tend to ride too fast. The C50 handles well on secondary mountain roads and has enough grunt to keep ... me interested. It's excellent for a pleasant, relaxed ride. It's smooth and reliable, and simple to negotiate around town. I recommend the C50 for any average joe who just likes to get out and ride. I added a Memphis Shades Batwing fairing with a 7" screen. I'm happy with that.

Love the Suzuki C50 - smooth
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 23, 2010I just got a new 2009 Suzuki C50 and I love it. I chose it for the shaft drive, the fuel injection, it has a big gas tank, and because it is liquid cooled. No other bike in its class has these three things together. The price is fabulous and negotiable. I am a woman rider and this is my first real ... bike. I have been riding less than a year. It is easy to handle in the windy hills in my neighborhood, but takes off on the highway. If you buy this bike, you will be glad you did.

Can"t wait!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 02, 2010I just bought a 2009 leftover C50. Everything I have read about this bike is great. I am moving up after 10years of riding a 1988 Kawasaki 454 (which was a great bike to learn on). After trying out a 2005 C50 in the parking lot
I knew it was time. I was torn between the Kawasaki 900 custom/classic ... and the C50, but they were so close in all the reviews it was a hard choice. In the end I chose the C50 because it was more comfortable for me. I can't wait to pick it up!

Best out there for the money...
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 03, 2009I purchased mine in May of 2009 sense then you can't get me off this bike.
I have traveled with the big 1500+ cc bikes and had no problems keeping up with them. I have put 6100 miles on my c50 in the few months I have had it with no problems. Like others have said
don't let the 800cc's ... fool you as there is plenty of power, I am 300 LBS and my Girlfriend is 200 LBS plus I have installed every accessory saddle bags,
windshield, driving lights, rear rack,
sissy bar, sissy bar bag, windshield bag etc. One big draw back for my girlfriend was the placement of the passanger foot pegs, simply resolved by replaceing them with the billet floor boards as they lower the position by 1 inch and bring them forward by at least 2 inches. Simply put you wont find a better bike in this class.

Great Bike, Fun to Mod!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 31, 2009Just an awesome bike. Don't let the engine size fool you. One of the fastest bikes up to 1500cc's. LIGHT and high tech engine with tons of torque are the trick. I modded my seat with gel and memory foam and is now COMFY. Also changed the final drive so that it cruises comfortable at 70 mph. (VS1400 ... modded drive and shaft =14% rpm reduction)
Great handling bike... for the money CAN'T BE BEAT.. HD Heritage Softail for $10K less and water cooling! ;-)

Good machine, has limits
By (I am an Owner) on May 31, 2009I've got 2000 miles on my C 50T. Both transmission & engine greatly improved after 1000 miles. Averaging 45 mpg plus, 40 mpg hwy. @ 70mph. It's a great commuter type bike incl. maybe 200 mile max weekend trips. Easily handles two up, except... pass. footpegs are hard to access as they're snuggled ... in right in front of the saddlebags. The saddlebags aren't waterproof by the way.
Noticeable vibration at anything approaching 65 & up, new grips help though. Brakes, well, they do stop you, eventually. You can't lock them up, that's for sure. Great bike for secondary roads, less so for the hwy. I'm going crosscountry this fall and I'm already shopping for a machine with longer legs and better brakes. Still, I would take this machine if put to it.
