This garage-kept 2007 BMW R1200 GS is in excellent mechanical condition with many aftermarket upgrades. It's the original and best ADV bike, so it does have some bumps and scrapes from being used as intended for 45K miles. I used it mostly for two-up touring (mainly on road) and some fair weather commuting. I did the routine maintenance myself, with full synthetic oil changed every 3K miles. This bike has a clean title. It is completely reliable and dependable and it can go almost anywhere. There are some spare parts included, plus an air filter and some oil filters. The fuel gauge is iffy, but there is a new, uninstalled one included.
The goodies:
3 piece Jesse bags, all keyed the same. The top case can hold two full-face helmets and the side cases come with custom fitted luggage.
Full Swedish suspension (13K miles ago). The rear shock has the Öhlins remote preload adjuster.
Corbin seats, including a custom passenger seat with a wider pan as requested by my wife. She could ride all day in comfort.
Hepco & Becker crash bars.
PIAA lights, one bulb is burnt out.
Touratech headlight guard
Heated grips.
Brush guards.
Side stand extender.
New battery (6K miles ago).
Newish tires with plenty of life left.
Maier rear fender, this keeps the road crud off of the rear shock.
A horn as loud as one from a semi truck. This really gets you noticed by the inattentive horde.
I got too old and feeble to keep riding, so now it's time to sell. Please be aware that this motorcycle is not for the inexperienced. It's big, tall, pretty heavy and has considerable power. Test rides only with an MC endorsement and your cash in my hand. Thanks.
