2024 Dakar Rally Gallery
The 2024 Dakar Rally kicks off with the prologue stage Jan. 5, in Al-'Ula, Saudi Arabia, with 12 stages to follow including a 48-hour marathon stage. This year's rally has 136 registered entries in the motorcycle class, including Kevin Benavides, who won last year and in 2021, the 2022 winner Sam Sunderland, and American Ricky Brabec who won in 2020.
The legendary rally is one of the most iconic motorsports in the world, and thanks to the varied terrain, the source of some of the most stunning racing photography. As such, we're starting the new year with a gallery of some of this year's top factory riders.
Ricky Brabec
Ricky Brabec leads Honda's six-rider contingent on the CRF450L Rally.
Skyler Howes
Brabec is joined by fellow American Skyler Howes, who finished third overall last year.
Pablo Quintanilla
Chilean Pablo Quintanilla finished fourth overall, behind his new teammate Howes.
José Ignacio "Nacho" Cornejo
Quintanilla is joined by countryman José Ignacio "Nacho" Cornejo, who finished eighth in 2023.
Adrien Van Beveren
Longtime Yamaha rider Adrien Van Beveren joined Honda last year afer Yamaha withdrew from the Dakar Rally, and finished fifth overall last year.
Tosha Schareina
Spanish rider Tosha Schareina rounds out the factory Monster Energy Honda squad.

Joan Barreda brings veteran to the improving Hero Motosport team. The Indian manufacturer has done well in the last couple of years, winning its first ever stage in 2022 and placing in the top 10 in the final motorcycle class standings last year with Franco Caimi.
