Yamaha Unveils Updates to 2025 Off-Road Lineup

Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA has introduced its new lineup of 2025 off-road motorcycles, catering to riders of all levels, from beginners to professionals. The 2025 lineup highlights the new YZ250FX and WR250F models, both designed for competitive off-road riding.

The YZ250FX, based on Yamaha’s YZ250F motocrosser, features suspension and engine tuning suited for cross country racing. The WR250F, also derived from the YZ250F, is tailored for enduro riding with unique engine and suspension tuning. Additional features of the WR250F include an H4 headlight, LED taillight, shortened muffler with spark arrestor, and other specific enduro components.

2025 Yamaha YZ250FX

Yamaha has announced a series of updates for the 2025 YZ250FX, aimed at improving performance and capability. The model features a redesigned aluminum bilateral beam frame, based on the YZ250F, which provides an optimal balance of stability and cornering performance. This frame includes model-specific engine mounts and a lightweight subframe, contributing to improved handling and increased front wheel traction.

The 2025 YZ250FX also includes a fully adjustable KYB suspension that is 10mm shorter and features updated settings. This results in a lower center of gravity, enhancing maneuverability in tight terrain and making it easier for the rider to reach the ground. Additionally, the front fork now has a hand-adjustable knob for compression adjustments without the need for tools.

Ergonomic improvements include a slimmer, flatter, and more compact body, providing a more generous rider triangle and facilitating effortless body movement. The intake system has been redesigned, and ECU settings have been optimized for better control at low speeds and increased power at higher speeds.

The new model also features the latest version of Yamaha’s Power Tuner App, which now includes a quick-adjust slide bar for engine tuning and new four-level Traction Control. The app remains free of charge.

The 2025 YZ250FX is available in Team Yamaha Blue and will be in dealerships starting October with a price of $9,099 MSRP.

2025 Yamaha WR250F

Yamaha has announced the 2025 WR250F, featuring several updates aimed at improving performance and versatility. The new model is designed to be lighter and slimmer, with a lower center of gravity and quicker handling. These changes are intended to make the WR250F easier to ride in technical situations and more capable overall.

The 2025 updates are based on the YZ250F motocrosser and include a new bilateral beam frame with precisely tuned flex characteristics and unique engine mounts. These enhancements are meant to improve stability, turning, and bump absorption. The suspension has been revised and lowered by 10mm, contributing to a lower center of gravity. The fully adjustable KYB fork with speed-sensitive damping now features a hand-adjustable knob for easy compression adjustments. The linkage-type rear suspension includes a KYB shock with settings optimized for improved stability.

Ergonomic updates include a flatter, slimmer seat with a more rounded profile, narrower radiator shrouds, and a slimmer fuel tank. These changes provide more legroom between the seat and pegs and move the handlebars forward. The new riding position is designed to allow for better movement, easier leg extension, and improved transitions between seating and standing.

The 2025 WR250F uses a front-intake, rear-exhaust, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine, similar to the YZ250F, but tuned for enduro conditions with an added wide-ratio six-speed transmission. A new intake design draws air from under the side covers and seat, allowing for a more compact body and boosting mid- to high-rpm engine performance. The model also includes new four-level Traction Control tuning, a lap timer, and tuning guides available through Yamaha’s next-generation Power Tuner App.

The rear shock now has a lighter spring rate, and the fork includes new delta-shaped piston shims. These changes are designed to improve stability, traction, and provide a more planted front-end feel.

A new handlebar switchbox has been incorporated with an updated ribbed design for practicality and improved aesthetics. The throttle tube has been redesigned to increase the spacing between the throttle grip and throttle housing assembly. Additionally, a new foot peg bracket design is lighter and features a revised shape to enhance rider ergonomics.

The 2025 YZ250F will be available in Team Yamaha Blue and will reach dealerships in August with a price of $8,899 MSRP.

These editions mirror the look of Yamaha’s championship-winning Supercross and Motocross teams.

The 2025 Monster Energy Yamaha Racing Edition YZ125 will be available in October for $7,299. The YZ250 model will be available in November for $8,199. The YZ250F and YZ450F models will both be available in September, priced at $9,099 and $10,199, respectively.

2025 Yamaha Motocross and Cross Country Lineup

Yamaha has announced the return of its Trail models for 2025, featuring Team Yamaha Blue and a new YZ-inspired graphics package. The lineup includes the PW50, TT-R50E, TT-R110E, TT-R125LE, and TT-R230, all designed to be rider-friendly and fun.

The 2025 PW50 will be available from dealers this month for $1,849. The TT-R50E will be available in August for $1,899. The TT-R110E will also be available in August for $2,449, while the TT-R125LE will be available in August for $3,599. The TT-R230 will be available this month for $4,699.
