2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 to be Announced Oct. 2

Husqvarna released a short video across its social media channels teasing a new Vitpilen 801 model, which will be announced on Oct. 2.

As far as teasers go, this one is not very subtle, opening with comments from various people asking for a Vitpilen 801, and ending with a shot of the headlight gleaming from the darkness, and revealing a hint of a front fender and tire.

We’ve known a Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 was coming after noticing it mentioned in a vehicle identification number (VIN) decoder published by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Not that much detective work was needed, as pretty much everyone expected it to come along eventually after Husqvarna revealed its sibling, the Svartpilen 801

Traditionally, the Vitpilens and Svartpilen models tend to be fairly similar, with small differences giving each a different personality. Whereas the Svartpilen models tend to draw some scrambler influences, the Vitpilens usually lean more towards cafe racers, with lower handlebars and more street-biased tires.

The engine will be the same as the 799cc Parallel-Twin powering the Svartpilen, which in his review, Ryan Adams described as “a familiar, fun power plant.” The electronics will likely also be similar, but unfortunately, that also means some features like cruise control will also be locked behind a paywall.

We'll find out more information about the 2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 when it is revealed on Oct. 2.
