Right, this is my list. Okay, my list with quite a bit of input courtesy of a little social media crowdsourcing and consultation with my Motorcycle.com brethren. Some things to bear in mind include that as motojournalists, we never lived with any of these for more than a few months at most, so the list isn’t about long-term reliability or cost of ownership. It’s more like dislike at first ride that gets no better with time. Most of the things that relegate a bike to Ten Worst of the Modern Era might be remediated, given enough time and money: Every worst bike here, with the proper amount of love, money, and squinting, could be transformed into someone’s else’s dream bike – just not mine. Many of us often dream about leaving our boring desk jobs and taking off on two wheels to pursue some hidden desire buried deep down in our soul. Some seek the exploration of two-wheeled travel, while others take their soul searching inward and reflect on what they really want to do in life. Efraon Triana Lopez is one of those people. At age 38, after starting his own graphic design company in Spain, he decided to leave it all and reinvent himself and his understandings of making a living.

No motorcycle in Harley-Davidson’s 115-year history has been as successful or versatile as the Sportster. The Sportster line has been in production now for over 60 years and has left its mark on just about every genre of motorcycling you could possibly imagine. From dirt tracking to road racing, hill climbing to commuting, chopping to touring and everywhere in between – there is very little the Sportster can’t do.
