Great first ride
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 31, 2010I purchased this bike as my first motorcycle and have been pleased with it very much. The bike is light, handles well, gets great fuel mileage and maintenance is very light. There is plenty power for a new rider but stability at freeway speed is decreased when there is a crosswind due to the bike ... being so light. Tires are small enough to catch imperfections in the road but aren't to the point where I have felt it is unsafe, just a little uneasy. The main con to this bike is carbueration, because it will take some time to become warm in cold weather. For everyday riding around town and quick freeway hops the bike handles these tasks well. For the price, it is well worth the valuable experience this bike will teach you in riding a motorcycle without punishing you for mistakes.

great commute but be careful
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Aug 21, 2010i have been riding for a year now through all kinds of weather. even hail on the freeway at 65mph. i can get 200 miles a week and it holds up fine after loooong rides. I love this bike however I feel that it is unsafe in some ways. First the tires are way to thin. You'll be able to feel every line ... on the road and some lines will even partially take control of your front wheel which will leave you feeling nervous. Second although this is the best bike you can ride through a cruising speed of 70mph, it simply inst good in the wind. Getting blown through lanes is not a good feeling at all especially with those tires. All and all, this bike is very efficient and will save you allot of money, however I would be careful on the freeway with any kind of wind.
